Stanfill, 65, led Woodruff for 10 years and presidefd over enormous expansion efforts atthe center. Since the 1996 Woodruff has increased its square footage by95 percent, includintg the final buildings of the Woodruff's largest construction project ever -- the five buildintg campus expansion to be completed Novembef 2005. At the same time, Woodruff'w operating activity increased 245 percentto $145 placing it among the top arts centerss in the country. Stanfill said his next move is undetermine d but that he plans to takea "long delayed" sabbatical upon leaving the center.

Asked what he considered his biggest accomplishment, Stanfilkl said, "There are more people in metr o Atlanta now that feel they own a pieces of this real estate called the Woodruff Arts Center than did 10yearsw ago."
