Report: Tri-county real estate backlog eases - Business First of Louisville:

South Florida’s residential real estate inventoryfell 1.1 percenrt in the last week with 81,159i properties on the market, according to the report, whichn uses data from the Floridq Association of Realtors. That’s down from 83,49 residential resales on the market inthe tri-county area as of June 1. the glut of condoz and townhouses on themarket isn’t shrinking as They represent about 61 percent of the total industry, up from 57 percentg in November, according to Peter Zalewski, a principalo with the Bal Harbour-based real estate consultanct and brokerage firm.
Broward has the fewest numbefrof single-family houses available for resalee with 10,179 properties, or 32 percent of the totao South Florida inventory of 32,125. Miami-Dade and Palm Beachy counties each account for 34 percent of theremaining single-familhy home inventory. Palm Beach County has 10,888 houses for sale comparecd to 11,058 houses on the resale marketin Miami-Dade, accordinf to the report. There are 49,034 condoss and townhouses on theresale market. Forty percent are in 33 percentin Broward, and 27 percent in Palm Beach. The numbeer of home sales pending in the week endex June 22slipped 0.
5 percent to 15,564 from 15,645 on June 15, but saw a 318 increaswe from June 1 when there were 15,246 pendintg sales.
