Leaders of Colorado’s Hispanic business community and locak officials gathered at the Colorado Conventionj Center Tuesday to formally announce theconventiom — the third time the city has been host to the nationa Hispanic chamber. The gathering will be at the ColoradoConventionj Center, Sept. 16-19. Previous conventionse were held in Denver in 1995and 1997. is a primde sponsor of the convention with a commitmentof $200,000. Jerryu Natividad, co-chair of the event’s host committe and a board member ofthe USHCC, said the conventiobn will focus on four key areas: sustainabl growth and the greening of the U.S.
growth of Hispanic businesses, especially among Hispanic women; the federal economic stimulus program and refininvg economic survival and innovation skills amonbHispanic businesses. “Hispanic business owners acrossa the country are facing continuous challenges onmany fronts,” Natividad said. “They need all the help they can get, makinbg key connections, gaining accesws to crucial information abouf accessto capital, new industries and other trends that will help lead our countryt out of the current recession.
