Survey: HR optimism inches up for Q3 - Puget Sound Business Journal (Seattle):

The Labor Market Outlook survey by the Societt for Human Resource Management reported that 37 percent of respondentxs have some level of concern forthe U.S. job markey in the third quarter: 33 percent are somewhagt pessimistic about job growtjh and anticipate job losses and 4 percentf are very pessimistic and anticipate job cuts duringhthe quarter. This markss a reversal from the LMO’s second quarter when a combined 70 percent of respondentxs expressed some level of pessimism and predicted deepee cuts inthe U.S.
job A total of 69 percent of respondents said they will either eliminate jobs or keep their payrollsx flat in thethird quarter: 56 percent will maintain currentt staffing levels and 13 perceng will cut jobs. Among employer categories, 28 perceng of large companies (those with 500 or more employees) will conduct layoffws in the third quarter.
