Called EGT Development, the project will be the firsf export terminal built in the Unitex States in more thantwo decades. The terminal will be capabl ofhandling grain, oilseeds and protein meals and featur e a rail loop track unloadinh system capable of holding four 110-car ITOCHU is the second largest marketer of grain and food productds in Japan, and STX Pan Ocean of Koreaw ships agricultural products. The graij terminal will create about 50 jobs and provideabout $2 million in tax revenue, said Bailey Ragan, vice president and generao manager of Bunge Grain. Construction will begin this montnh with the facility accepting productr for the fall2011 harvest. St. Louis-based Bunge Nortn America, the North American operating arm ofWhitd Plains, N.Y.-based (NYSE: BG), is a food and feed ingredienft company that operates grain grain and oilseed processing plants, refineriezs and food processing facilitied in the U.S., Canada and Mexico.
